Acceptance
Creating an account means accepting these terms and the privacy policy. Purchases are also governed by the terms of sale.
You can open a trial booster without an account. Its cards are kept only if you then create an account.
Age
WikiDeck is for people aged 15 and over.
A minor may only make a purchase with the agreement of their legal guardian.
Your account
You can sign up with an email address and a password, with a link sent by email, or with your Google or Discord account. The game also opens inside Discord, as an activity: you are then signed in with your Discord account. You can protect your account with two-step verification.
- One account per person. Creating several accounts to gain an advantage is forbidden.
- Trades, auctions and bids require a verified email address.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials private. Tell us at once about any unauthorised access.
The game
You can play without paying anything. Packs regenerate over time, up to a reserve; when it is empty, an extra pack can be bought. The PRO subscription speeds up that regeneration and enlarges the reserve: it never changes the chances of getting a card.
The odds are published and identical for every player. They may change, but a new version only applies to future openings: the rarity of a card you already own does not change.
Each card matches a Wikipedia article. A card may be corrected, lose its image or be removed from the catalogue, for instance when the article disappears or a rights holder asks for it.
The French and English markets are separate: collections, credits, trades, auctions and rewards stay within each market.
We keep changing the game, its rules and its balance. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or after an incident, with no guarantee of permanent availability.
Cards, credits and fragments
Cards, credits, fragments and rewards are virtual items. You hold a personal right to use them, limited to the game, for as long as your account exists.
- They have no monetary value: no conversion into real money, no withdrawal, no refund, except as provided by law and by the terms of sale.
- They do not move from one market to the other.
- Selling, buying or trading an account, cards or credits for real money or for anything outside the game is forbidden.
Trades and auctions
Trades only happen between friends, on the same market. An accepted trade is final.
A bid on an auction is binding: the matching credits are reserved until a higher bid is placed or the auction ends. A commission is taken from the sale price; its rate is shown before you list a card.
We may stop an auction or cancel a trade in case of fraud, obvious error or breach of these terms. Reserved credits are then released and the card goes back to its owner.
Rules of conduct
You must not:
- automate the game with a bot, a script or any other tool;
- use several accounts, or collude with other players, to feed an account or distort the market;
- exploit a bug instead of reporting it;
- pick a username or a name that is offensive, misleading or infringes someone else's rights;
- collect other players' data or mass-extract the site's content;
- disrupt the service.
Sanctions
Depending on how serious the breach is, we may issue a warning, cancel a trade or an auction, remove gains obtained by fraud, suspend the account or close it for good.
Every measure is reasoned and logged. You can contest it by writing to contact@wiki-deck.com.
Liability
Card information comes from Wikipedia and Wikidata. It is provided as is and may contain errors.
We guarantee neither an uninterrupted service nor the absence of errors. We are not liable for indirect damage, nor for damage caused by you, by a third party or by force majeure.
These limits take nothing away from the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
Duration and account deletion
These terms apply for as long as you use the game. You can delete your account at any time from the settings.
Deletion is final: cards, credits and progress are lost on every market, and a running subscription is cancelled at once.
Should the game close, we would give you reasonable notice and sales would stop immediately.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. A significant change is announced in the game before it takes effect. Continuing to play after that date means accepting it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of disagreement, write to contact@wiki-deck.com first: we will look for an amicable solution.
If you are a consumer, you can use the mediation described in the terms of sale. Failing an agreement, the dispute goes to the competent courts.
